Outsidethelinesgallery.com is the online gallery of artist, Donna Boisseau Hinson. Outside The Lines exhibits paintings, prints, mixed media, jewelry and other art forms by local artists as well.
Ms. Hinson's watercolors allow brilliant color to mingle together in free-form drips created to resemble the flow of liquid. Metallic block printing ink and India ink are used to create smooth or textured surfaces that contrast with the colorful watercolor paints.
Recent works in acrylic or oil focus on the relationship reflected in our choice of dwelling ,neighborhood with conformity and individuality. Her ongoing series, Suburban Landscapes explores these issues and uncovers more complex ones in the process.

The artist lives and works in Grosse Ile, Michigan where she operated an art gallery and studio for the past 10 years. Currently, she works and teaches from her home studio in Grosse Ile. Her self-portrait, created for Menopause The Musical's traveling art exhibit was purchased by The Women for Women Foundation of Oak Park, Florida. The artist's work can be found in private and corporate collections and galleries in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado and Florida.
